What does it take to be 1 in 100?
To join forces with us, all we ask is that you agree to donate $100, four times per year, for a total donation of $400 annually. This is given directly to local charities, non-profits, and organizations serving the Kingston area.
Nominate a charity
Any member may nominate a local charity. The member nominating the selected charity MUST speak and make a 5 minute presentation about the charity to the membership. Charities under consideration must serve Kingston and surrounding area and be registered under CRA. They must also agree to provide individual tax receipts and to keep member information confidential. PLEASE work with the 100 Men Kingston member to be specific with your presentation and touch on key points about your charity. Having a well prepared speech goes a LONG way.
Each registered member will consider the presentations and vote (by ballot) for one of the charities at the quarterly meetings. There is no proxy voting. Ties will be decided by further votes. If a tie persists, the membership will vote to either (1) randomly select one of the tied organizations by draw; or (2) divide the group donation equally between the tied organizations.
Contribute $100 towards our a $10,000+ group donation
Each member will write a cheque for $100 to the charity receiving the most votes. The selected charity will receive a group donation of $10,000+ (Depending on numbers; 200 members = $20,000). Members will receive a tax receipt directly from the charity after they've donated. Members who are unable to attend a meeting are requested to send their cheque with a member or mail it (courier suggested) or drop it off in these locations:

Gear up for the next meeting
A successful charity who receives our group nomination must wait a full calendar year to be nominated again; however, the nominating member may submit the name of another charity. At the following meeting, the recipient of our donation will give us an update as to where the funds were used and impacted.
